Complete up to three short steps in DOBIERO. Android 8–9 skips the separate background-location step. The app currently shows Polish button labels and only the action you need now.
Set up DOBIERO in up to three steps
- Open DOBIERO and tap the Polish button “Zacznij”. In step 1, read the explanation and tap “Dalej: ustaw lokalizację”. In the Android prompt, allow location while using the app. If accuracy choices are shown, turn on precise location.
- On Android 10 or later, complete step 2 shown in DOBIERO. Android 10 shows a permission prompt. A newer system opens DOBIERO settings. Choose Permissions, Location, and all-time access, then return to the app.
- On Android 8–9, step 2 of 2 says “Wszystko gotowe”; tap “Zakończ”. On Android 10–12, do the same in step 3 of 3. On Android 13 or later, tap “Dalej”, allow notifications, and then tap “Zakończ” on the “Wszystko gotowe” screen.
Check location access
- Open phone Settings, then Apps.
- Select DOBIERO. If it is not listed, open the list of all apps.
- Choose Permissions, then Location.
- Check access while using the app and in the background. On some phones, background access is labelled “Allow all the time”.
Check notifications
- From the DOBIERO app settings page, choose Notifications.
- Check that notifications are allowed.
- If your phone shows extra notification categories, make sure DOBIERO reminders are not muted.
What changes when you revoke access?
- Without background location, DOBIERO cannot automatically check places while the app is not visible.
- With notifications off, a suggestion will not appear as a system notification.
- These settings are separate. You can change them again later.
- Battery-saving modes may delay background activity even when permissions are correct.
If the names are different
Search phone settings for “DOBIERO”, “permissions”, or “location”. Change only the settings for DOBIERO.
