Store and service apps pile up easily, and at the right moment it is hard to remember which one to use. We give no figures on app overload because we did not find any in official sources. We show how to organise your phone and how DOBIERO can help.

Why is it easy to forget which app to use?

Store and service apps are usually needed at a specific place, such as the checkout, the fuel pump, or while travelling. Often nothing reminds you of them between one visit and the next, so it is easy to forget them or to hunt for them among other icons.

How do I organise apps on iPhone?

The paths below come from the iPhone User Guide for iOS 26 and 27.

  • The App Library (after the last Home Screen page) shows all apps in automatic categories. At the top are the Suggestions (most used) and Recently Added sections, and the search field helps you find an app by name.
  • You can remove an app from the Home Screen without deleting it: touch and hold the icon, choose to remove the app, then Remove from Home Screen. The app stays in the App Library.
  • Folders: touch and hold the background until the icons jiggle, and drag one app onto another. An empty folder disappears on its own.
  • Smart Stack is a set of widgets that shows the right widget on its own based on time, location, and activity.
  • Offload Unused Apps (Settings, Apps, App Store): when storage is low, iPhone offloads unused apps but keeps their data. The icon stays with a cloud symbol, and tapping it installs the app again.

How do I organise apps on Android?

  • All apps: swipe up from the bottom of the screen. On Pixel you type the app name in the search bar (some steps apply to Android 14 and newer).
  • Folders (called groups in Polish help): touch and hold an app and drag it onto another.
  • Remove takes an app off the home screen only, while Uninstall removes it from the device.
  • Google Play Store: profile icon, Manage apps & devices, Manage, select the app, and Uninstall. You do not need to buy a purchased app again.
  • Pixel: factory apps can be disabled (Settings, Apps, All apps, select the app, Disable).
  • Settings, Storage, Free up space shows, among other things, recently unused apps.
  • Archiving (some steps from Android 15, on suitable hardware): Settings, Apps, select the app, Archive. The icon stays dimmed, and you can restore the app if the store is installed and the app is still available. Google’s help pages differ in how they describe app data (kept or deleted).

How can DOBIERO help?

DOBIERO suggests which app or service you may use at a nearby place, so you do not have to remember which one to choose. A suggestion never opens or installs another app: it needs your tap. The app works without an account, keeps no visit history, and does not send precise location to its own server.

If a suggestion does not suit you, you can mute the places or categories from the current list and undo the mute later.

What does DOBIERO not do?

DOBIERO is not an app store, does not replace organising your phone, and does not let you set your own reminders or shopping lists. Tidying your home screen and removing apps you do not use remains up to you.
